Studio Policies & Practices

Be.
Basics

There is no specific workout clothing required for Pilates. Comfortable, but form-fitting, athletic attire is preferred because it helps us see body alignment and make necessary adjustments. Men may be most comfortable wearing compression shorts with loose fitting shorts over them.

Shoes are not worn for Pilates workouts. Lots of people wear “grippy” socks. We sell them in the studio, but they are not not mandatory. You can work in bare feet if you prefer.

Please listen to your body. Pilates may make you shake or feel tight, but it should never hurt! If an instructor asks you to do something that really doesn’t feel right for you (we are talking about pain, not exertion), please don’t do it. We can modify any exercise and adjust resistance as needed.

We will check in with you before class and ask how you are feeling, but if you have a new injury or other concerns, please don’t wait to be asked. Let your instructor know so we can best support your recovery.

To get the most benefit out of your Pilates practice, we recommend a minimum of  2 – 3 sessions per week. Because it’s easy on your body, more Pilates at home and in the studio is great!

Pilates requires focus and concentration. Please be respectful of other clients. We don’t have a lobby, so please talk quietly as you enter and exit the studio to avoid disrupting others. Please try to remember to put your cell phones on silent.

Please clean your reformer and equipment after each class, so it is ready for the next client.

Reservations & Cancellations

Please understand we must enforce our policies consistently
for the benefit of all clients.

Payment must be made prior to booking a class or scheduling a session. All clients must complete a Client Information Form and Health & Fitness Waiver prior to class.

Monthly memberships will be automatically renewed each month. If you need to make a change to an automatic payment, you must notify us prior to your payment processing. Changes cannot be made once payments have been processed. A $15 late fee will be charged for any returned or failed payment not corrected within 7 days of billing date.

Memberships may be canceled any time by notifying the studio, in writing, at least 7 days prior to your next renewal date.

Class packages are valid for 180 days. They are non-refundable.

Group classes must be cancelled 6 hours prior to the start of class.
Private sessions must be canceled 24 hours prior to the session. Please cancel online, or through the Be. PILATES app, whenever possible.

We understand emergencies happen. Please call the studio if you are unable to cancel your appointment online.

Clients on an unlimited membership who cancel a registration without the required notice will be charged a $10 late cancel fee. A $15 no show fee will be charged if they fail to cancel their registration but do not attend.

All late cancels and no shows will result in the loss of a credit from a client's class package or limited visit membership.

If you are the only client registered for a class, you will have the option to receive a 25-minute private session in exchange for the 1 class credit or you may choose to receive a full 50-minute private session in exchange for 2 class credits.

Any class with no clients registered 4 hours prior to the start time will be canceled.

If a class is full, you may add your name to the waitlist. If a spot opens prior to the start of class, all clients on the waitlist will be notified. The first client to confirm their ability to attend the class will be added to the registration list. All other clients will remain on the waitlist and will be notified if another opening becomes available.
